Child and Family Therapy

My work with children is collaborative with the parents and care providers.  Sessions can be structured as best meet you and your child's needs.  Could include:
  • collateral sessions (meeting with parents/caregivers alone),
  • family or dyadic therapy
  • child therapy
  • consultation with schools, IEP or Regional Center or other systems of care.
Topics might include:  Attention and regulation; trauma; relationship challenges; adoption; foster families, stepparents or step siblings, divorce and separation; loss and grief; anxiety and depression; difficulty with focus and attention.

Infant and Early Childhood

Infant and early childhood work focuses on the relationship between the child and parent and how to support connection, communication and mutual enjoyment between parent and child.  Topics might include:  post-natal depression, experience of the infant as fussy or difficult to soothe, struggles with strong-willed or spirited children.  Impact of family divorce or separation.  Trauma.  Discipline

Child, Adolescent & Teen therapy

Therapy with older children is respectful of the child or teen's privacy as well as collaboration with parents.
